Brassica Italica is the Latin name for broccoli.
It is known through scientific studies that cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower are good for your health. This is not only due to the multitude of fibers and vitamins but primarily due to the substance sulforaphane. Unfortunately, many of these substances are lost when cooking broccoli.
Researchers have isolated the main component of broccoli, called sulforaphane, and found that this substance contains many protective properties.
Sulforaphane, an isothiocyanate, is believed to stimulate enzymes in the body.
Freshly germinated broccoli sprouts contain 30 to 50 times the concentration of isothiocyanates as mature broccoli.
Brassica Italica from Nova Vitae is made from freshly germinated broccoli sprouts and contains a standardized amount of 2000 mcg sulforaphane per daily dose, which is equivalent to eating more than a pound of fresh broccoli per day.
Brassica Italica from Nova Vitae is suitable for vegetarians and is hypoallergenic: contains no yeast, dairy, eggs, gluten, corn, soy, or wheat.
This product is free from sugar, starch, salt, preservatives, or artificial colors, flavors, or fragrances.
Composition
Each daily dose of 2 tablets contains:
Brassica italica 500 mg
(standardized to 2000 mcg sulforaphane)
Calcium (citrate) 354 mg (Reference intake 35%)
Ingredients
Brassica italica (standardized broccoli extract), calcium (citrate), stearic acid, hydroxypropylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, silica, (Non GMO) modified cellulose gum.
Usage
Adults take 2 tablets daily, preferably with a meal and some water, unless otherwise advised.
