If the mother eliminates cow's milk and dairy products from her diet, the baby will not receive these nutrients through breastfeeding. A dietitian can help the mother create a suitable cow's milk-free diet. Sometimes the doctor or dietitian may recommend a formula based on individual amino acids. This formula is then free of cow's milk protein.

Neocate LCP is completely free of cow's milk protein. The formula is made from individual amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. The immune system cannot respond to these amino acids because they are too small. The formula is produced in a cow's milk protein-free environment. Neocate is a complete formula for infants from birth to 12 months.

Preparation advice
Wash your hands and clean the cooking surface.
Sterilize the bottle and teat.
Boil fresh water for 5 minutes or, if using an electric kettle, until it switches off.
Let it cool for at least 30 minutes until it feels warm on the wrist.
Pour the recommended amount of water into a sterilized feeding bottle.
Fill the included scoop with powder and brush off any excess powder with a clean, dry knife. Do not press the powder into the scoop. Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist.
Any remaining food in the bottle after 11 hours should be discarded. Do not reheat the food.

One level scoop contains 4.5 grams of powder. Add 1 scoop of powder to 30 ml of water to achieve the recommended nutritional concentration. The osmolality of the recommended concentration (e.g., 13.5 g of powder diluted with water to a volume of 100 ml) is 340 ml osmolol/kg H2O.
