Mycopower Hericium bio
Because of its appearance, the Hericium is also called the "monkey-faced mushroom." The Chinese translation is "monkey-faced mushroom," because the mushroom's unusual appearance is reminiscent of monkeys that once lived in China, so hairy that their faces were unrecognizable. Hericium also occurs, albeit scattered, in our forests as a parasite on wounds of older deciduous trees. It tastes good and is considered a delicacy. Unlike most other mushrooms of this type, Hericium erinaces is edible.
