Directions for use To turn the thermometer on, press the button: a short beep will indicate "thermometer on." A display test will be performed. All options will be displayed. If the ambient temperature is below 32°C, "-- -" and a flashing "°C" will appear in the upper right corner. The thermometer is now ready for use/
During a measurement, the measured temperature is displayed continuously. The "°C" indicator flashes during this period. When the signal sounds (10 beeps) and the "°C" indicator stops flashing, this means that the measured temperature increase is less than 0.1°C per 8 seconds and that the thermometer is now read can be. To save battery life, gently press the off button to turn the thermometer off. Otherwise, the thermometer will turn itself off after about 10 minutes.
If the button is held down for more than 3 seconds when the thermometer is turned on, the automatically saved maximum temperature of the last measurement will be displayed. At the same time, an "M" for memory will appear in the display window. Approximately 3 seconds after releasing the button, the temperature value disappears and the thermometer is ready to take a measurement.

The thermometer is 100% waterproof and can be completely submerged in water or in disinfectant solutions. Then dry the thermometer with a damp cloth. Replace battery
When the "▼" symbol (upside-down triangle) appears in the display panel, the battery is empty and must be replaced. To replace the battery, remove the battery compartment cover from the thermometer. Insert a new battery with the + side facing up. Make sure you have a battery of the same type on hand. Batteries can be purchased at any electrical store.
