Directions for use
Take your temperature with this thermometer
The thermometer measures infrared radiation emitted by the forehead or other objects. This energy is captured by the lens and converted into a temperature value.

Control screen and symbols
All symbols appear 9: Press the START/IO button to activate the thermometer, all symbols will appear on the display for 1 second.
Ready for measurement AT: When the thermometer is ready for measurement, the “°C” or “°F” symbol will continue to flash, while the body or object symbol remains displayed.
Countdown before BR measurement: A 3-second countdown is shown on the display (3, 2, 1) before each measurement.
Measurement Complete AK: The measurement will be shown on display 4 with both the ear or forehead symbol and the symbol for «°C» or «°F» remaining displayed.

Low Battery ON: When the thermometer is turned on, the icon will keep flashing to remind you that the batteries need to be replaced.

Setting date, time and beeper functions
Setting the date and time
After the batteries are installed, the year will flash in the display BO. You can set the year by pressing the M button 5. To confirm and then set the month,

Switching from body mode to object mode
Press the START/IO button 7. All symbols will appear on the display 4 for 1 second.
The default mode is object mode AL. Press the MODE button 6 to switch to AM mode. To switch back to body mode, press the MODE button again.

Instructions for use
Always remove the protective cap BS before use.
Measure in body mode with automatic measurement and distance control
1. Press the START/IO button 7. All symbols will appear on the display 4 for 1 second.
2. A flashing °C/°F symbol, a flashing blue tracer light 2, and a beep indicate that the device is ready for an AT measurement.
3. Remove hair, sweat or dirt from the forehead to prevent inaccurate measurements.
4. Point the thermometer at the center of the forehead, keeping a distance of no more than 5 cm from the forehead.
5. The device will start automatically when the measuring sensor 1 detects the required distance of less than 5 cm. The display will show a countdown (3, 2, 1); after 3 seconds, a long beep will indicate that the measurement is complete.
6. Self-measurement: The self-measurement light 3 will help indicate when the measurement starts. Hold the thermometer to your forehead until the light turns off.
7. Read the measured temperature from the LCD display.
8. For a follow-up measurement, hold the thermometer away from your forehead and wait until the °C/°F symbol flashes again. Continue with steps 4-5 above.
9. Press and hold the START/IO button 7 for 3 seconds to turn it off; otherwise, the device will automatically turn off after 60 seconds.
Measuring in object mode without automatic measuring 1. Press the START/IO button 7. All symbols appear on the display 4 for 1 second.
2. Press the MODE button 6 to switch to object mode.
3. A flashing °C/°F symbol, a flashing blue tracer light 2 and a beep signal indicate that the device is ready for an AT measurement.
4. Point the thermometer at the center of the object you wish to measure, no more than 5 cm away. Now press the START/IO button 7. After 3 seconds, a long beep will indicate that the measurement is complete.
5. Read the measured temperature from the LCD display.
6. For a subsequent measurement, wait until the °C/°F symbol flashes again. Continue with steps 4-5 above.
7. Press and hold the START/IO button 7 for 3 seconds to turn it off; otherwise, the device will automatically turn off after 60 seconds.
Patients and thermometer should remain in a room with a constant temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Do not measure during or immediately after feeding a baby.
Do not use the thermometer in rooms with excessive humidity.
Patients should not drink, eat, or exercise before/during measurement.
Do not remove the measuring device from the measuring area until you hear the end beep.

8. Switchable from Celsius to Fahrenheit
This thermometer displays temperature measurements in Fahrenheit and Celsius. To switch between °C and °F, press and hold the MODE button 6 for 3 seconds; the beeper symbol will appear on the display. Press the MODE button again; the current unit of measure ("°C" or "°F" symbol) will appear on the display AO. Switch between the units of measure (°C/°F) by pressing the M button 5. Once the unit of measure has been selected, press the START/IO button 7 to activate the "ready for measurement" mode; otherwise, the device will automatically switch off after 10 seconds AT.

9. Recalling 30 measurements in memory mode
This thermometer displays the last 30 measurements, including date and time.
AP Call Mode: Press the M button 5 to enter call mode when the device is off. The "M" memory icon flashes.
Result 1 – the last result AQ: Press the M button 5
and release it to see the latest result. Screen 1

10. Error messages
Measured temperature too high AR: The symbol "H" will
appear when the temperature is above 43°C / 109.4°F in
the body mode or 99.9 °C / 211.8 °F in object mode.
Measured temperature too low AS: The symbol "L" will
appear when the temperature is below 34 °C / 93.2 °F in the
body mode or 0.1 °C / 32.2 °F in object mode.

Ambient temperature too high BT: The symbol «AH» will appear when the ambient temperature is higher than
40.0 °C / 104.0 °F.
Ambient temperature too low BK: The symbol «AL» will appear when the ambient temperature is lower than 15.0
°C / 59.0 °F in Body mode or below 5.0 °C / 41.0 °F in Object mode.

Error in BL operation:
“Er 0” / “Er 6”: The system is not working properly.
Step 2: The device is placed directly on the forehead or object. Maintain a distance of 1-5 cm. Never touch the bottom (sensor area) of the measurement sensor.
Blank screen BM: Please check that the batteries are installed correctly. Also check the polarity (<+> and <->) of the batteries.
Low battery status BN: If only the icon is shown on the display, replace the batteries immediately.

11. Cleaning and disinfecting
Use a cotton swab or a cotton ball soaked in alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol) to clean the thermometer housing and probe head. Be careful not to get any liquid inside the thermometer. Never use harsh cleaning agents, thinners, or benzene when cleaning, and never immerse the thermometer in water or any other liquid. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the probe lens or the display.

12. Battery Replacement
This instrument is supplied with two long-life 1.5V AAA batteries, which should be replaced immediately when only the BN symbol is displayed.
Remove the battery plate BQ by pushing in the direction shown.
Replace the batteries – check the correct polarity as shown by the symbols in the compartment.
Batteries and electronic instruments should be disposed of according to local regulations and not with household waste.

Never open the appliance

A normal biological process called vasoconstriction can occur early in a fever, resulting in a lower skin surface temperature; the temperature measured with a thermometer may then be suspiciously low.

If the measurement result is not consistent with the patient's finding or is suspiciously low, repeat the measurement every 15 minutes or check the result with another core body temperature measurement.

Only allow children to use the appliance under adult supervision; small parts could be swallowed.
