The Medela PersonalFit™ PLUS double pumping set is a personal pumping set specially designed for the professional Symphony breast pump, known from hospitals and available for home rental. The Symphony breast pump helps you initiate, build, and maintain an adequate milk supply. The pumping set is easy to assemble, clean, and sterilize. The PersonalFit™ PLUS pumping set was compared with the standard pumping set in clinical studies, and these showed that PersonalFit™ PLUS provided more milk, more comfort, and more efficiency. The PersonalFit™ PLUS pumping set yields 11% more milk and ensures 4% better breast emptying. Additionally, by double pumping, you get milk with a higher fat content and finish faster than if you were to pump one breast at a time.

The breast shield of the new Medela PersonalFit™ PLUS pumping set has a wider opening angle of 105°, which ensures a better fit. This helps prevent milk ducts from being compressed, thereby promoting milk flow. Additionally, the shield has an oval shape that can be rotated 360°. This allows you to position the breast shield in the position that best suits your breast.

The Medela PersonalFit™ PLUS pumping set also features a new connector. This consists of fewer and larger parts, making it easier to maintain and clean. Moreover, the connector has built-in overflow protection. Thanks to this overflow protection, when the pump is used correctly, milk cannot flow back into the pump, allowing you to pump in a relaxed position.

The breast shield is intended to be connected to a breast pump via a connector, after which vacuum can be applied to the breast and breast milk can be directed to a collection unit, e.g., a bottle.

Use
The reusable PersonalFit PLUS breast shield is compatible with the reusable Medela Symphony pumping sets and with the Medela breast pumps Swing maxi, Swing, Freestyle, and Harmony. PersonalFit PLUS breast shields are available in different sizes. Consult the breast pump/pumping set manual for instructions on operating the breast pump and pumping set. Cleaning and hygiene - Clean the breast shield thoroughly before using it for the first time. Perform both steps "After each use" and "Once a day." - Clean the breast shield immediately after use to prevent milk residue from drying and to prevent bacterial growth. - For cleaning, use only drinking quality water. - Be careful not to damage parts if you use a brush. - Do not use abrasive dishwashing/cleaning agents to clean the breast pump, breast pump parts, or pumping set parts. Before first use / after each use - Rinse the breast shield with cold, clean water (approx. 20 °C). - Clean it in plenty of warm soapy water (approx. 30 °C). Preferably use dish soap without artificial fragrances and colorants (pH-neutral). - Rinse in cold, clean water (approx. 20 °C). - As an alternative to manual cleaning, you can also clean the breast shield in the dishwasher. - Place it on the top rack or in the cutlery basket. - Use a standard dish soap. Before first use / once a day - Ensure the breast shield is submerged and boil it for at least 5 minutes. Instead of boiling, you can use Quick Clean bags in the microwave according to the instructions. Drying / storage - Dry the parts with a clean cloth or place on a clean cloth to air dry. - Store the breast shield in a clean storage bag or clean environment. Do not store it in an airtight package/bag. It is important that any remaining moisture dries. Assembly and use - Consult the instructions for use of the breast pump/pumping set for information on using the breast shield and breast pump. Choosing the right size PersonalFit PLUS breast shield Your breast shield size may change during the period you are pumping. The breast shield should fit well at all times during this period. A well-fitting breast shield helps prevent compression of milk ducts during pumping, ensuring the breast is emptied as thoroughly as possible and a maximum amount of milk is expressed. With a well-fitting breast shield, the nipple is centered with enough space to move freely.

Warnings
- The breast shield is intended for personal use by only one person. It should not be used by multiple mothers. - Use only original Medela accessories. I Inspect before each use. Replace molded, damaged, or worn parts. - Never leave the packaging and parts unattended. Keep out of reach of children. - Pressing shields too firmly on the breasts can affect milk flow. - Consult a lactation consultant in case of problems or pain.
