Bacopa monnieri, or the Ayurvedic name "Brahmi," comes from the Scrophulariaceae plant family. This family comprises 210 genera and over 3,000 species. It is a highly diverse genus of shrubs, culinary herbs, medicinal herbs, and trees. This plant family grows worldwide. Our Bacopa extract originates from India.
Bacopa monnieri is one of the herbs cultivated for medicinal use and grows primarily in wetlands. Bacopa monnieri contains unique compounds: bacosides. Due to the herb's complexity, traditional Ayurvedic practitioners always recommend using the entire herb, as several important compounds responsible for the synergistic effects of the bacosides are lost during extraction.
In Sanskrit, Brahmi means 'consciousness' or 'wisdom'.

Usage
