    Organic Red Maca is an organic maca powder from the Andes Mountains in Peru. Maca is a special tuber and the only edible plant that grows at altitudes of approximately 3000 to 4500 meters. Due to these extreme growing conditions, maca has been valued for centuries within traditional South American diets.

    Maca is also known as the ‘Ginseng of the Andes’ and ‘Mood food’. The root was formerly used by the Incas and valued for its nutritious properties and its naturally slightly sweet taste.

    Maca is available in three variants: yellow, red and black. Red maca distinguishes itself by its milder, slightly sweeter taste and is therefore a versatile addition to smoothies, yogurt, shakes or juice.
