What is Natural Calcium?
Natural Calcium is derived from Red Algae (Lithothamnium calcareum) and is a natural multi-mineral complex. This red seaweed is sustainably harvested from the pristine seas of Miðfjordur in Iceland. The unique property of this red algae is that it absorbs minerals from the sea and stores them in its tissues.
What is the function of calcium?
Calcium is one of the most important minerals our bodies need. It's found in dairy products, almonds, and vegetables like broccoli and spinach.
In addition to calcium, the capsules also contain magnesium. A proper calcium-magnesium ratio in the body is important, as these two minerals need each other to function. Therefore, an increased calcium intake should be accompanied by a higher magnesium intake.
