_x0007_Ensure that the liquid does not get onto the skin surrounding the water wart. Contact with intact skin can be avoided by covering the skin around the water wart with a layer of petroleum jelly or cream before use. If the solution is spilled on the skin next to the water wart, wipe it off immediately and wash with soap and water._x0007_Do not expose the treated area of skin to the sun until it has fully healed. This skin renewal process can take 4 to 6 weeks. Prolonged sun exposure can cause hypo- or hyperpigmentation of the skin.
