Earwax serves to protect the ear from dirt, bacteria, and dust. However, an excess can build up, leading to a blocked feeling in the ear or pressure in the external auditory canal. It can also cause an itchy sensation.

An excess of earwax can occur, for example, due to damage to the wall of the ear canal. Such damage can occur when cleaning your ear with objects such as a hairpin, keys, or cotton swabs. Frequent use of earplugs can also contribute to this. Elderly people and hearing aid wearers, in particular, show an increased rate of earwax production.

Usage

Instructions for use
The ear spray is suitable for adults and children over 3 years old. Spray two to three doses into each ear daily. Do not use the ear spray for more than 30 consecutive days. The spray is so mild that you can increase the dosage if desired to a maximum of four to six sprays. Tips for use: • Hold the spray bottle in your hand for some time to warm up the liquid • Then shake well before use • Make sure you have a tissue handy • Bring the nozzle close to the ear canal • Spray two to three times • Press the ear canal shut and massage the bottom of the ear for 5 to 10 seconds • Tilt your head to one side so that the liquid with the carried-away excess earwax can drain out. Catch this with the tissue and wipe the outer ear clean. • It is essential that the spray head is thoroughly cleaned after use. Clean thoroughly with warm water and dry with a tissue. Administration for children: You can use Lucovitaal®'s mild Ear Spray for children. To avoid all risks, application is not recommended for children with sensitive skin, especially if there is sensitivity to soap. Read the leaflet before use.

Warnings
Do not use Lucovitaal® Ear Spray in cases of ear infection or earache, foreign objects in the ear, eardrum perforation, or for those with tympanic membrane tubes. The use of the ear spray should be stopped if tinnitus or dizziness occurs, or if repeated pain complaints occur immediately after administering the ear spray. Consult your doctor if in doubt.

Lucovitaal Ear Spray should not be used in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to one or more ingredients. Skin redness, itching, persistent fluid discharge, or ear pain immediately after spraying may indicate hypersensitivity. The spray contains soap and can cause irritation if used in the mouth or eyes. If the spray accidentally gets into the mouth or eye, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Use during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding: Lucovitaal® Ear Spray can be safely used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If in doubt, consult your treating physician first.

Combination with medicines: It is not advisable to use Lucovitaal® Ear Spray if you are already applying medicines to the ear.
