Loofco Vegetable sponge organic The LoofCo Root Vegetable Scrubbers are handmade in Egypt from the gourd of the native Luffa Aegyptiaca plant with an Egyptian cotton hanging loop. Made from a tapered 11.5 cm slice of the thin end of a loofah gourd, we use the thinner end of a loofah because it is more aerated and particularly well-suited for this task. Approximately 6-8 cm x 8-11 cm; natural size variations may occur.
It may seem abrasive when dry, but when immersed in water, it swells slightly, becoming a soft, spongy, and flexible pad. It fits perfectly in your hand. A must-have for cleaning muddy vegetables.

Usage Apply water to the wet skin of root vegetables, gently pressing to remove soil and dirt. To keep the loofah fresh between uses, rinse it, squeeze out excess water, shake out any food particles, and hang it to dry by the cotton loop. Machine wash or hand wash occasionally. It will last for months and can be composted when worn out.
