Gomasio original bio Gomasio—"goma" is the Japanese word for "sesame" and "sio" is the Japanese word for "salt"—is a mixture of sesame seeds and unrefined sea salt, which are first lightly roasted separately and then finely ground together. Each grain of salt is thus coated with ground sesame seeds. A healthy and tasty way to season your food, with much less sodium than pure salt. Gomasio is high in phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, and iron. To be more easily absorbed by the body into the bones, calcium needs magnesium. The combination of sesame (very rich in calcium) and salt (rich in magnesium) makes gomasio a valuable spice.
Ingredients Roasted SESAME* 94.5%, sea salt 5.5%.
