Vervain cut Vervain / Verbena has a thin, upright stem and can reach a height of 100 cm, with the bottom of the stem becoming woody.
Within the species, the hairy leaf can take different forms.
The plant has no odor and tastes unpleasantly bitter raw and without processing.
The flower spikes begin in the leaf axils, the 3-5 mm large trumpet-shaped flowers are soft pink to violet in colour.
The flowering period is from June to autumn. The flower spikes are slender, but tough and flexible. The fruit is a schizocarp.

Usage To prepare as an herbal tea: Place 1 teaspoon of herbs in a teacup, pour boiling water over them, and let steep for 5 to 10 minutes.
