Bearberry leaf powder from Jacob Hooy. The bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) is a plant in the heather family (Ericaceae). The bearberry is a dwarf shrub, 30–60 cm tall in the Netherlands, with creeping stems that ascend at the top. The shiny, green, obovate leaves remain on the plant for one to three years. The dwarf shrub blooms from March to April. The white or pink flowers grow in short, overhanging clusters. The berries are red. They are eaten by birds but are poisonous to humans.

Bearberry leaf powder (folia uvae ursi pulver)

Directions for use
1 g of powder 2 to 3 times a day. It is advisable not to use bearberry for more than one week continuously. Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
