Bearberry leaf, ground by Jacob Hooy. The bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) is a plant in the heather family (Ericaceae). In the Netherlands, the bearberry is a dwarf shrub, growing 30–60 cm tall, with creeping stems that rise from the top. The glossy, green, obovate leaves remain on the plant for one to three years. The dwarf shrub blooms from March to April. The white or pink flowers are in short, drooping clusters. The berries are red. They are eaten by birds but are poisonous to humans.

Usage
Take 1 g of powder 2 to 3 times a day. It is recommended that bearberry not be used for longer than one week at a time.
