ILHWA Ginseng products are made from Panax Ginseng. Panax Ginseng is a plant with a slow-growing robust root. Panax Ginseng is considered one of the most important medicinal herbs in traditional Chinese medicine. In fact, it is the world's most famous herb. Panax ginseng has been used for more than 5000 years to optimize human health and well-being in Asia. In the world of Chinese ethnopharmacology, it has been used for over 3000 years.
Use of roots between 4.5 and 5.5 years old.
To deliver the best quality Ginseng products, ILHWA uses only Panax Ginseng roots between 4.5 and 5.5 years old for its products. Studies by ILHWA have shown that Panax Ginseng roots of this age contain the maximum number of ginsenosides. Older roots have too many fibers with a lower number and balance of ginsenosides. In addition, other key ingredients such as phenols and polysaccharides are significantly reduced.
Use of whole roots and rootlets.
ILHWA processes the entire root with the smaller attached rootlets. Most companies peel the roots, as this saves time during the processing procedure. However, the small rootlets also contain the unique ginsenosides. ILHWA therefore deliberately chooses a longer processing procedure for the most effective end product.
No high steam temperature.
Most ginseng companies process their Panax Ginseng under high steam temperatures to speed up the processing process. But the faster the process, the greater the chance that vitamins and germanium will be destroyed and amino acids and polysaccharides will be reduced.
ILHWA therefore opts for a low-heat vacuum procedure, eliminating the need for boiling, steaming, and high heat. This preserves all key ingredients in the Panax Ginseng.
Due to this unique processing procedure, ILHWA's ginseng extracts contain high concentrations of B vitamins, minerals (42), ginsenosides, and 14 saponins that have important effects on the body.
