The active ingredient of Hübner Original Silicea® cold sore gel is silica gel, a compound formed by the mineral silicon (Si), oxygen and water.
One of the remarkable properties of silica gel, in addition to its soothing effect on burning and itching, is its high adhesion capacity to secretions.
This means that the secretions from the cold sore are bound by the gel and the blisters are systematically dried out.
This way, the spread of the virus is limited. It reduces tingling, burning sensation, and itching.

Gel for external use on cold sores (Herpes labialis)

Directions for use
