Thyme and althea both have a soothing effect on the throat and the respiratory tract. This
The effect is primarily due to the thickening substance found in the liquid extract of the althea root. This substance adheres to the irritated mucous membrane, thus relieving cough symptoms.
Applies to both productive and non-productive cough (tickle cough) that occurs mainly at night.

What is this medicine used for?
Cough syrup Althea & Thyme is a class 1 medical device and is used for any form of cough and has a soothing and beneficial effect on the throat and airways.

Directions for use
• Children from 3 to 6 years: 5 milliliters = 1 teaspoon 3 to 4 times a day
• Children from 6 to 12 years: 7.5 milliliters = 1 spoonful 4 to 6 times a day
• Children > 12 years and Adults: 15 milliliters = 1 tablespoon 4 to 6 times a day
• do not use for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor
• unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise.

Contraindications
• if you have had hypersensitivity reactions, such as a skin rash, when previously using products containing thyme and/or althea (marshmallow root) or another member of the Lamiaceae family.
• if you have had hypersensitivity reactions to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
• if you have diabetes, because this syrup contains a lot of sugar.
• Use in children under 3 years of age is not recommended.
• if you have severe liver or kidney disease, consult your doctor.
• Use during pregnancy is not recommended due to insufficient data.
• Use of this medicine is not recommended during breastfeeding.

Ingredients
Active ingredients: • liquid extract of the thyme plant (equivalent to 1200 mg/15 ml dried thyme herb) • liquid extract of marshmallow root (Althea) (equivalent to 64 mg/15 ml dried) marshmallow root) Excipients: sugar, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid and purified water

Storage advice
Close the bottle tightly after use. This prevents spoilage. Store the cough syrup away from
sunlight at room temperature. The cough syrup can be kept for 6 months after opening or if the bottle
unopened until the date stated on the label.
