HG Descaler
Due to the buildup of limescale and scale in coffee machines and other hot water appliances, heating elements consume more energy, reducing efficiency and leading to premature failure. Moreover, not using coffee maker descaler negatively impacts the taste of your coffee. These are all reasons to descale your appliances regularly. Instructions for descaling vary considerably depending on the type of hot water appliance, and water hardness is also important for effectively removing limescale and scale.

Compound
Contains: non-ionic surfactants <5%.

Usage
The descaling method varies depending on the type of appliance.

Descaling a coffee machine:
1. Dilute 50ml of HG descaler with half a litre of water and carefully pour the coffee machine descaler into the coffee machine's reservoir.
2. Operate the appliance as you normally would when making coffee.
3. Pour the solution down the drain. If the machine doesn't drain sufficiently, repeat the treatment with a fresh mixture of coffee machine descaler.
4. Finally, rinse the appliance three times with clean water to ensure that no limescale residue or aftertaste remains.

Descaling a kettle:
1. Dilute 50ml of the HG descaler with half a litre of water and carefully pour it into the kettle.
2. Do not turn on the appliance, but let the liquid work cold for approximately 40 minutes.
3. Pour the solution down the drain. If the limescale is not sufficiently removed, repeat the descaler treatment.
4. Finally, rinse the device thoroughly after treatment.
5. The kettle is now ready for use again.

Descaling a washing machine;
1. Add the HG descaler to the washing powder compartment. Add 100ml in soft water areas and 200ml in hard water areas.
2. Set the shortest program with a temperature of 60°C.
3. Halfway through the program, switch off the appliance and wait for about 20 minutes to allow the washing machine descaler to take effect properly.
4. After 20 minutes, let the appliance complete the program.
5. The washing machine is now ready for use again.

Warnings
Transport and store bottle upright.
Do not use in pod coffee makers and on acid-sensitive surfaces, such as aluminum, zinc and enamel.
Never use a descaling fluid, including HG descaler, for steam irons.
To descale espresso and pad coffee makers, use HG coffee machine descaler citric acid.
Limescale damages the heating element. Therefore, descale your hot water appliances regularly to prevent limescale from damaging your element.
