HG Natural Stone Impregnating Protector
HG natural stone impregnating protector

HG natural stone impregnating protector is a special pretreatment for marble and other natural stone types such as travertine, bluestone, and limestone, but is also ideal for concrete tiles that contain natural stone chips, such as granite and marble composite. This unique product penetrates deep into the pores of the natural stone, effectively stopping its absorbent properties. This prevents the penetration of dirt and (grease) stains without affecting the original character of the stone or sealing the floor against moisture from below, allowing the floor to continue to "breathe."

Basic treatment for marble and other natural stone types
- Prevents the penetration of dirt and (grease) stains
- Also suitable for granite and marble composite

This product contains no silicone, dries quickly and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Compound
Contains methylisothiazolinone.

Usage
1. The surface must be completely clean, free of grease and dust. For any necessary treatments: See the HG natural stone floors treatment matrix on the side of this bottle.
2. The adhesive/mortar and grout of new floors must be fully cured and dry. This usually takes 4-6 weeks.
3. Existing floors must be thoroughly dry after cleaning, for which at least 3 days must be allowed.
Highly porous tiles, such as calcium silicate, require more time to completely drain the water. For this type of natural stone, we recommend allowing at least one week for this to happen. However, if the floor has underfloor heating, a drying time of 24 hours is sufficient. The underfloor heating must be turned off for at least 12 hours before treating with this product.
4. The liquid should be applied neat, preferably using a paint roller, evenly and in one direction. On (high-)gloss floors, this product should be applied and rubbed in with a lint-free cloth.
5. If 10 minutes after application it appears that q) some areas of product are still remaining on the natural stone, which has not been absorbed, this should be removed immediately with a dry, lint-free cloth.
6. For very porous tiles, a second treatment is recommended.
This second layer can be applied approximately 1 hour after the first treatment.
7. The floor can be walked on normally again approximately 3 hours after the last treatment and 12 hours after the last treatment
the floor is completely protected.

Consumption: Highly porous natural stone: ± 10-20 m2 per litre.
Low-gloss natural stone: ± 20-50 m2 per litre.

Maintenance:
See the HG natural stone floors treatment matrix on the website www.HG.eu Tip:
If the floor is not provided with a specific top layer protection, such as HG natural stone protector (product 33), after treatment with this product, it is recommended to repeat the treatment with this product locally every 1 to 2 years, especially in places that are used a lot. The protection of the top layer by this product may decrease slightly over time as a result of walking on it.
