The HeltiQ Maternity Kit consists of practical maternity care products that can be used before, during, and after childbirth. From 36 weeks of pregnancy, you can start preparing the maternity bed.

Contents of HeltiQ Maternity Kit: 2 x Maternity Mattress 60 x 90 cm, 1 x Mattress Protector 100 x 150 cm, 5 x Underpad 60 x 60 cm, 1 x Umbilical Cord Clamp, sterile, 1 x Bottle of Alcohol 70%, 120 ml, 1 x Cotton Wool 100 gram, 1 x Adhesive Tape 5 m x 2.5 cm, 24 x Maternity Pads, 20 x Sanitary Pads, 30 x Nursing Pads, 32 x Gauze Compresses.

Usage
Application of HeltiQ Maternity Kit Step 1. Start preparing your maternity bed from 36 weeks of pregnancy. Step 2. Raise your bed to at least 80 cm using (rented) bed risers or crates. Step 3. Take the mattress protector from the maternity kit. You use this to protect your mattress if your water breaks at night. Place the mattress protector widthwise on the mattress where your lower body rests and tuck the mattress protector around the mattress. Step 4. Place a fitted sheet over the mattress and mattress protector. Step 5. Take the two maternity mattresses and place them on top of the fitted sheet where your lower body rests on the mattress. Step 6. Do you prefer not to lie directly on the maternity mattresses? Then place an extra fitted sheet over the bed. Step 7. The underpads are used during home birth and for examinations by the midwife and maternity nurse during the maternity week. You can also use the underpads as extra protection for your bed, in addition to the maternity mattresses. What do you use the other products in the maternity kit for? The umbilical cord clamp is used by the midwife during a home birth to clamp the umbilical cord. You use the maternity pads when your water has broken and in the first days after childbirth. You use sanitary pads when the blood loss decreases. You use the bottle of alcohol and cotton wool to disinfect the baby's thermometer. The maternity nurse also uses this to disinfect the mother's thermometer. The gauze compresses and adhesive tape are used by the midwife and maternity nurse for wound care. You use nursing pads to catch breast milk during the breastfeeding period.
