Heltiq Burn Compress

HeltiQ Burn Compress is a hydrogel-saturated compress that provides immediate cooling for burns caused by fire, steam, hot liquids, radiant heat, or other non-chemical heat sources. You use the compress as first aid in the initial phase of the burn when no water is available at your location, or on body parts where it is difficult to cool with lukewarm water, for example, on the face. The burn compress can also be used as a supplement to cooling with lukewarm water.

Use
You use the compress as first aid in the initial phase of the burn.

Instructions for use
1. Open the packaging and remove the compress. 2. Place the compress on the wound and pour the remaining gel from the sachet over the compress. 3. Lightly fix the compress with a HeltiQ Elastic Fixation Bandage and secure with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster. Leave the compress on for a maximum of 3 hours.

Warnings
For external use only.

The burn compress is for single use. Repeated use can cause infection.
Do not use if the packaging is damaged or if the compress feels dry.

In case of chemical burns, first remove or neutralize any chemical residues before applying the burn compress.

For large and open 2nd and 3rd degree burns, large abrasions, persistent complaints, skin irritation, swelling, or infections, consult a doctor.
