What is a Shaving Bar?
It's a plastic-free alternative to shaving foam or gel! The HappySoaps Shaving Bar is a product we developed together with a few loyal customers. It's actually quite similar to a familiar product: shaving soap. But what's the difference? Simple: our Shaving Bar doesn't contain any soap at all.
Soap is a wonderful and natural ingredient. However, it has two problems: 1) its pH is incredibly high and 2) it has very strong degreasing properties. Therefore, shaving soap is not suitable for more sensitive areas of the body, such as the intimate area, but also your legs. It can cause dryness, irritation, and an imbalance in your skin's pH.
With our Shaving Bar, we've developed a solution! We use a combination of a very mild, sulfate-free foaming agent (an ingredient also found in most baby shampoos) and natural oils and butters to ensure our Shaving Bar is gentle and soft on your skin. The oils and butters in our Bar ensure that the razor glides easily over your skin, so you can enjoy smooth skin without irritation!
