Hansaplast Kinesio tape blue

Kinesio tape is a practical aid for athletes and enthusiastic sportspeople, both men and women. Discover how to tape weak spots to prevent common injuries such as tennis arm or tennis elbow.

If you lead an active lifestyle, it is important to know how injuries occur and how to prevent them.

Excessive wear and tear is one of the main causes of injuries. The longer you exercise continuously, the greater the strain on your joints and muscles and the greater the risk of injury. What can you do to protect yourself?

In addition to a thorough warm-up and cool-down, sufficient rest and nutrients, taping is one of the best ways to prevent injuries.
Kinesio tape is a practical aid for athletes and enthusiastic sportspeople, both men and women. The product offers a number of restorative and preventive benefits. These are the top seven:

- immediate pain relief for acute injuries
- faster recovery of damaged muscles and joints
- reduced risk of injury
- optimal performance
- less muscle fatigue
- prevention of cramps
- reduced risk of bruising

Usage
Kinesio tape is designed to train the neuromuscular system and increase circulation, thereby reducing pain and providing more protection. When the correct kinesiological taping techniques are applied, kinesio tape can be used for a variety of purposes, including chronic pain, mild sprains, and performance enhancement.

Directions for use
Kinesio tape can be applied to weakened joints to help prevent injuries. Hansaplast Kinesio tape is the gold standard when it comes to supporting your ankle, stabilising your shoulder or protecting your knee ligament. For your next big competition, use these four essential kinesiological taping techniques to help protect yourself: 1. Back injuries Stand upright and stick one side of the kinesio tape on the left side of your sacrum, parallel to your spine Gently bend forward and stick the other side where it lands on your back Repeat this action on the other side of your spine 2. Hamstring injuries Stand and gently lean on a table-height surface with your knees straight Stick 1 piece of kinesio tape in the middle of the top of your hamstring Gently stretch the tape along the outside of your hamstring until the tape reaches below your knee Repeat this action for the inside of your hamstring 3. Calf injuries Lie on your stomach with your foot over the edge of a bed Gently bend your ankle forward and stick the kinesio tape below your heel Gently stretch the tape along your Achilles tendon and the outside of your calf muscle Repeat this action with a second piece of tape for the inside of the calf muscle 4. Ankle injuries Stick one side of the kinesio tape just below and behind the outside of your ankle Gently stretch the tape along the outside of your lower leg while gently turning your foot inwards
