Green Ox Tick Removal Card
A tick removal card is a handy tick remover about the size of a bank card. It has two notches in one corner: one for adult ticks and one for very small ticks (nymphs). This small notch can also be used to remove wasp or bee stings. The advantage of using a tick removal card is that the tick isn't crushed or twisted during removal.

Usage
When you get home, check yourself, your family, and pets for ticks crawling on their bodies or perhaps already attached. If a tick isn't attached yet, you can pick it up, crush it, and throw it away. If a tick is attached, remove it with a tick card.

Warnings
The advantage of using the tick removal card is that the tick is not squeezed or twisted during removal. These actions can irritate a tick, causing it to empty its stomach contents into the bloodstream. This increases the risk of disease transmission. For the same reason, the tick should not be anesthetized with alcohol or essential oil. Once the tick has been removed, you can clean the area with a drop of Allergy Septicum or a drop of Tea Tree oil (not for cats!). It's a good practice to keep any ticks that have been attached and record the date and location where your pet picked up the tick. If symptoms indicate Lyme disease or another condition occur, the tick can be examined and recorded as a follow-up test. Are you unsure whether you or one of your pets might have contracted something from a tick bite? Better safe than sorry and visit your doctor or veterinarian.
