What is this medicine used for?
Medical thermometer without mercury for rectal, oral and axillary body temperature measurement

Directions for use
1. Before the measuring procedure, it must be checked that the liquid column is at least below 36 °C.
2. Clean the glass thermometer before and after use.
3. Place the thermometer on the body according to the type of measurement (oral, rectal, axillary)
4. After at least 4 minutes, the thermometer has recorded the body temperature.
The measuring fluid in the measuring capillary of the thermometer shows the measured body temperature on the temperature scale.
Reading the temperature can be made easier by turning the thermometer slightly back and forth.
5. After measurement, the display fluid must be brought back to at least below 36 °C.
To do this, the thermometer should be held as far as possible at the top end and shaken with at least 15 to 20 quick movements from the wrist.
Also bring back the display fluid when you want to take another measurement.

Other information
Oral - measurement time: min. 4 minutes. Normal temperature 37°C
Oral testing is preferred by doctors. It delivers fast, accurate results.
The tip of the thermometer (feeler) is inserted into the cavity to the left or right of the root of the tongue.

Rectal measurement time: min. 4 minutes. Normal temperature: approx. 37.6°C.
The rectal method is preferably used in children.
The tip of the thermometer (sensor) is inserted into the anus (approx. 2 cm), and a little skin cream or baby oil can be applied to the tip.
You can use a protective cover for the thermometer.
Insert the thermometer into this protective sleeve. Rub the protective sleeve for the measuring sensor with a water-soluble gel to ease insertion.
Do not use harsh petroleum jelly. Do not insert the tip of the sensor more than 2 cm into the rectum.
STOP if you feel any resistance.

Axillary - measuring time: min. 4 minutes. Normal temperature: approx. 36.7°C.
The axillary method provides less accurate readings than oral or rectal measurements. Wipe the underarm area with a dry cloth. Place the tip of the thermometer in the underarm area and keep your arm pressed tightly against your body.
