EXITEL PLUS tablets for dogs

What is this medicine used for?
In dogs: treatment of mixed infections by roundworms and flatworms of the following species:

Roundworms:
Roundworms: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and late-immature forms).
Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma canium (adult).
Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adult).

Flatworms:
Tapeworms: Echinococcus spp., (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis), Taenia spp. (T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

Do not use in
Do not use concomitantly with piperazine derivatives.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.

Active ingredients
Active ingredients per tablet:
Praziquantel 50 mg
Pyrantel 50 mg (equivalent to 144 mg pyrantel embonate)
Febantel 150 mg

Excipients
LACTOSE monohydrate
Microcrystalline cellulose
Magnesium stearate
Colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrate
Croscarmellose sodium
Sodium laurilsulfate
Pork flavoring

Dosage
Single dose: For oral administration only.
In order to calculate a correct dosage, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.

The recommended dosing frequencies are:
15 mg/kg body weight febantel, 5 mg/kg pyrantel (equivalent to 14.4 mg/kg pyrantel embonate), and 5 mg/kg praziquantel. This equates to 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight.
The tablets can be administered directly to the dog or mixed with food.
Dogs do not need to be fasted before or after treatment.
Veterinarian advice should be sought regarding the need for and frequency of repeat administration.
