Exil Plus XL tablets for dogs.

What is this medicine used for?
In adult dogs: treatment of mixed infections by nematodes and cestodes of the following
species:

Nematodes:
Ascaridia: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and late-immature forms).
Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma canium (adult).
Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adult).

Cestodes:
Tapeworms: Echinococcus species, (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis), Taenia species (T.
hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T.taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

Do not use in
Do not use concomitantly with products containing piperazine.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.

Active ingredients
Praziquantel 175 mg
Pyrantel Embonate 504 mg (equivalent to 175 mg pyrantel)
Febantel 525 mg

LACTOSE monohydrate
Microcrystalline cellulose
Magnesium stearate
Colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrate
Croscarmellose sodium
Sodium laurilsulfate
Pork flavoring

Dosage
For oral administration only.
The recommended dosing frequencies are:
15 mg/kg body weight febantel, 5 mg/kg pyrantel (equivalent to 14.4 mg/kg pyrantel
embonate) and 5 mg/kg praziquantel. This corresponds to 1 tablet of the veterinary medicinal product per 35 kg
body weight.
For dogs with a body weight over 35 kg, 1 tablet of the veterinary medicinal product can be given
plus an appropriate amount of Exitel plus tablets – equivalent to 1 tablet per 10 kg
body weight.
Dogs weighing approximately 17.5 kg can be given ½ tablet of the
veterinary medicine.

Directions for use
The tablets can be administered directly to the dog or mixed with food. There is no need to withhold food before or after treatment.
If there is a risk of re-infestation, veterinary advice should be sought regarding the need for and frequency of repeat administration.
