This paraffin-based (water-free) formula helps cracked skin heal faster by creating the ideal environment. Paraffin is a mineral oil that forms a layer over the skin, allowing little to no substance to pass in or out. The ointment thus creates a semi-permeable protective layer, keeping the skin hydrated and accelerating the skin's healing process.

The active ingredients Panthenol and Bisabolol are both clinically proven effective in repairing cracked skin. Eucerin Aquaphor also contains Glycerin, which hydrates and protects the skin barrier. In addition to its healing function, it also protects and soothes the skin. Clinical studies prove effectiveness during the treatment of extremely dry, cracked, or irritated skin caused by dermatological treatments such as laser therapy, chemical peeling, or dermabrasion.
