This paraffin-based (water-free) formula helps cracked skin heal faster by creating the ideal environment. Paraffin is a mineral oil that forms a layer over the skin, preventing little to nothing from entering or exiting the skin. The ointment thus generates a semi-permeable protective layer, keeping the skin hydrated and accelerating the skin repair process.

The active ingredients Panthenol and Bisabolol are both clinically proven effective in repairing cracked skin. Eucerin Aquaphor also contains Glycerin, which hydrates and protects the skin barrier. In addition to its healing function, it also protects and softens the skin. Clinical studies prove its effectiveness during the treatment of extremely dry, cracked or irritated skin, caused by dermatological treatments such as laser therapy, chemical peeling or dermabrasion. Eucerin Aquaphor is also recommended for xerosis (extremely dry skin). Also suitable for babies, to soothe their red bottoms. Thanks to the minimal number of ingredients, it has excellent skin tolerability. The product is gentle, non-comedogenic, fragrance-free, perfume-free, dye-free and preservative-free.
