Wearing the Flexible Proprioceptive Thumb Orthosis EPITACT® helps relieve joint pain caused by osteoarthritis at the base of the thumb (rhizarthrosis). It limits traumatizing micromovements (moving hands in space while walking, talking, etc.), keeps the thumb in a resting position, and maintains local warmth at the joint. This flexible and thin orthosis allows you to retain full use of your hand: you can drive a car, write, use your phone, etc., and wear your watch or jewelry!

Use
This flexible orthosis was developed to relieve joint pain caused by rhizarthrosis or thumb osteoarthritis. It allows daily gestures while limiting traumatizing micromovements.
Instructions for use
Put on the orthosis by inserting your thumb through the designated opening. The seam should be on the palm side. For optimal comfort, slightly rotate the seam more or less towards the center of the palm. Machine washable at 40°C. Do not use stain removers (acetone, solvent, etc…). Air dry. Do not iron.
Storage advice
Store dry, clean, and sealed.
