Sterile hydrocolloid wound dressing, extra thin DuoDerm Extra Thin is a sterile, thin hydrocolloidal wound dressing consisting of a wound contact layer of hydrocolloids in an adhesive polymer matrix and a top layer of polyurethane film. When the dressing comes into contact with wound fluid, a moist wound environment is created that stimulates the healing process by promoting autolytic debridement and facilitating epithelial cell migration. Furthermore, the dressing can be removed without damaging newly formed grant tissue. The adhesive layer contains elastic polymers that enhance the dressing's ability to retain wound fluid by forming a cohesive gel. - sterile
