The Foam Silicone Border Extra Thin contributes to a moist wound environment, thus promoting optimal wound healing. Its functions are absorption, cleansing, and protection. Excess wound exudate is absorbed into the core of the polyurethane foam layer. This absorption also creates a cleansing effect. The integrated silicone layer provides protection by preventing the wound from adhering to the dressing.
