The Dominican Republic is a well-known supplier of Trinitario cocoa. Our partner Conacado is a cooperative representing 10,000 small-scale cocoa farmers and has initiated the shift towards well-fermented Organic and Fairtrade cocoa for customers with high-quality demands. They have established large facilities across the island, divided into seven regions, where cocoa is brought for fermentation and drying under constant quality control.
