This organic and Fairtrade cocoa is grown by the Awajun people along the banks of the Cenepa and Santiago rivers in the Amazon rainforest. They are members of the NorAndino cooperative, an organization with approximately 5,000 members, including 1,800 cocoa farmers, spread across northern Peru, both on the coast and the Amazon.
We're also supporting NorAndino with a special project. They process part of their cocoa harvest themselves, in their own cocoa factory. The factory in Peru is larger than the one in Amsterdam, and features a modern production line for high-quality organic and Fairtrade cocoa mass. In the future, they'll also be able to make their own chocolate.
Ingredients cocoa mass*, sugar*, cocoa butter*, milk powder*. Minimum 63% cocoa solids.
*Organic cultivation.
