Chi Tuberose
The queen of flowers is, of course, the rose, but the queen of the night is the tuberose. The precious tuberose smells especially good at night with a honeyed, sweet, and floral fragrance. This makes the oil wonderful for creating a perfume or skin oil: you'll be enveloped in an intense floral scent. Despite its name, the tuberose is not related to the rose, but rather to the hyacinth. More than 8 million (!) hand-picked tuberose flowers are needed to produce 1 kilo of pure absolute. Tuberose is therefore one of the most precious and sought-after floral fragrances in the world!

Did you know that the tuberose was especially popular at the court of the Sun King Louis XIV? There, the flowers were used in the hair and as a corsage! The flowers have an incredibly deep, sultry floral scent. Because of this scent, the oil is also wonderful to make a perfume with: you surround yourself with an intense floral scent. Tuberose has a relaxing effect and is therefore good to use when feeling inner turmoil.

Ingredients (INCI)
Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa)

Usage
In the ultrasonic vaporizer: your nose determines the number of drops; one drop of this precious oil is enough! Due to its strong scent, it can easily be too much. Tuberose blends well in the vaporizer with jasmine, rose, and ylang ylang.

On the skin: In skincare, tuberose is primarily used to support the skin's regenerative capacity and to treat red and rough skin. For safe use on the skin, mix an essential oil with a fatty plant oil as a base. For a relaxing massage oil, due to its strong scent, use a maximum of 10 drops of essential oil per 100 ml of base oil (for example, Aromassage Basic), but usually 2 drops is more than enough.

In the bath: Never use pure essential oils in (bath) water, as they will float on the surface. If the oil floats on the surface, it will come into direct contact with your skin, potentially causing skin irritation. Therefore, it's important to use the oil in bathwater with an emulsifier. To use tuberose in the bath, use a maximum of 2 drops of essential oil in 10 ml of bubble bath, emulsifier, or hydrophilic oil for a full bath.
