• The sun in your home!
• 100% natural and pure

About the plant
The sweet orange is a small, evergreen tree with white, fragrant flowers and shiny leaves. The tree grows up to 6 meters high and originates from China. Nowadays, this orange is grown around the Mediterranean and in North America (Florida). The tree is smaller than the bitter orange (C. aurantium var. amara), from which, among other things, neroli and petitgrain are distilled.

About the oil
Sweet orange is an essential oil obtained by cold pressing from the ripe fruit peel. The yield of essential oil is approximately 0.5%. This means that 200 kg of ripe peels are needed for 1 liter of oil. The color of this oil is yellow to orange, depending on the type and place of origin. The scent of sweet orange is very recognizable: lively, fruity fresh with an undertone of sweet. The perfume industry makes extensive use of orange in fruity perfumes, where the oil is characterized as a top note.

Usage
Evaporating Through evaporation, orange spreads a sweet and fruity scent. This oil brings sunshine into your home and creates a cozy atmosphere. This oil is therefore also called the sun king. Orange can be used purely in an aroma diffuser, but just like all other citrus oils, orange is also very suitable for mixing. For example, try a combination of orange with lavender, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, ylang-ylang or pine. The combinations below are wonderful in a diffuser! You can also make a skin oil or bath oil yourself, by mixing 5 drops of essential oil in 20 ml of vegetable oil or bath oil. * 3 drops orange and 2 drops cedar atlas * 1 drop frankincense, 1 drop myrrh, 3 drops orange * 2 drops ginger and 3 drops orange * 2 drops cedarwood, 2 drops orange and 1 drop patchouli * 2 drops benzoin and 3 drops orange In the ultrasonic diffuser: the nose determines the number of drops, usually between 5 and 20 drops on the water in the diffuser. In the Aroma Inhaler: drip 20 drops onto the cotton swab. On the scent stone: Use 6 to 10 drops for using the stone in the toilet, wardrobe or on the bedside table. Steaming: maximum 1 - 5 drops of essential oil On the skin In skin care, sweet orange can be used for oily skin and mature skin. Orange supports the skin's regenerative capacity. Orange is also good for red or chapped skin. Essential oils are highly concentrated substances and should therefore never be used purely on the skin. For safe use, mix an essential oil with a fatty vegetable oil as a base. For a relaxing massage oil, use 10-15 drops of essential oil per 100ml of base oil. For this, you can use Aromassage Basic, for example, or choose a fatty vegetable oil of your choice. In the bath One of the most pleasant applications of oils is their use in a bath. When you drip the essential oil into the water, you will see the essential oil floating on top of the water. This is because oil and water do not mix. If the oil remains on the water, the skin comes into direct contact with the oil, which can cause skin irritation. It is therefore important to use the oil in diluted form in the bath water. For this, you need a so-called emulsifier, which can connect oil and water. For example, neutral bath foam or oil is a good emulsifier. For safe use of essential oils in the bath, use a maximum of 10 drops of essential oil in 10 ml of bath oil or hydrophilic oil for a full bath. Orange is often used as a sunny oil in winter. Especially after long cold days. With orange, you really create a moment for yourself to recharge and take on new challenges.
