Sandalwood, Wild: is one of the most important raw materials for the perfumer: warm, sweet and woody. It is also the basis of Indian attars (see rose and motia attar). In Ayurveda, the scent of sandalwood is associated with peace of mind. Sandalwood softens everything: nerve pain, tension, depression. The oil is associated with stability and balance. A fantastic oil that can create a meditative atmosphere. Sandalwood is a good skin conditioner and can be used (processed in a base oil) for every skin type. Sandalwood is soothing, improves circulation and acts as a moisturizer.
