Chi Witch Hazel Hydrosol organic

The true witch hazel herbal water from the bark, twigs, and leaves of the witch hazel plant. Due to its astringent effect, witch hazel water is used in skin care as part of aftershaves and eau de toilette. A wonderful water for older and damaged skin and for blackheads. Witch hazel stimulates blood circulation and keeps small blood vessels in good condition. Witch hazel hydrosol is a great help for various skin discomforts. Use this hydrosol for red, sensitive skin or for chapped areas.

Please note: This hydrosol contains a Cosmos/Ecocert approved preservative and is therefore only suitable for cosmetic use.

Chi Natural Life has successfully carried this product in its range for over 20 years without preservatives, however, it is extremely difficult to keep some hydrosols stable over a longer period. We increasingly find that manufactured batches do not meet our high-quality requirements, for example, a hydrosol may only be stable for 6 months, which is insufficient. Therefore, a very small amount of Geogard has been added to our Orange Blossom hydrosol and Witch Hazel hydrosol. This is a preservative that is Cosmos/Ecocert compliant and therefore may bear the natural cosmetics label. This ingredient does mean that these hydrosols are no longer suitable for consumption.

Storage advice
Hydrosols have a shorter shelf life than essential oils. Fresh hydrosols are pure and bacteria-free. It is best to store a hydrosol in the refrigerator, or as cool (and dark) as possible. After opening, most hydrosols are stable for 1.5 years.
