Chi Ciste rose cultivar
The clear brown oil gives a warm, spicy, slightly woody scent with an undertone of cognac.

They are evergreen and attractive shrubs with beautiful flowers. Cistus ladanifer grows up to 2.5 meters tall and has upright branches with sticky leaves and large white flowers. The young twigs and leaves secrete a resin. The resin, called labdanum (or laudanum), is an important product in the perfume industry. Most cistus today is distilled from the flowering plants containing the resin.

The essential oil yield varies widely but is around 3%. This means that 30 kg of plant material is needed to produce 1 liter of oil. The color of this oil is clear brown or amber.

Compound
Cistus ladaniferus leaf oil, naturally contains: Limonene, Linalool.

Usage
In the aroma diffuser: the nose determines the number of drops, usually between 5 and 20 drops dripping onto the water in the evaporator.
In the aroma inhaler: Put 20 drops on the cotton swab.
On the fragrance stone: Use 6 to 10 drops for use of the stone on the toilet, wardrobe or on the bedside table.
Steam: maximum 1 - 5 drops of essential oil

The oil can also be used in a cosmetic preparation, never apply directly to the skin.

Flammable liquid and vapor. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
Causes skin irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction.
Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Avoid release to the environment.
IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. DO NOT induce vomiting. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
Keep out of reach of children.
The oil is not recommended for internal use or use on the skin during pregnancy.
