Chi Ceder atlas wild
About cedar oil
Cedar oil is a warm, enveloping scent that helps with stress and can bring you more balance. The oil has a golden brown color and is extracted from the heartwood of the Cedrus atlantica tree. The cedar tree must be at least 20 years old before it can be extracted.
There are four types of cedar, and what's remarkable is that the Atlas cedar was already mentioned in the Bible. Solomon's famous Temple is said to have been built from cedar. Cigar boxes are still often made of cedar. Cedar is highly sought after for this purpose, as its essential oil gives the wood a wonderful scent. In the perfume industry, cedar oil is often used in men's fragrances.

At Chi, you will find cedar in the Aromassage Wood massage oil, in the SuperSkin Cleansing Oil, and in the Forest Walk mix oil.

Did you know that…
In ancient Egypt, cedar extracts and macerates were used for embalming, but also in skin care and as a perfume. In some pyramids, small vessels have been found in which the cedar scent was still strongly present!
The cedar tree is often planted in the Netherlands and Belgium as a decorative tree. The tree is native to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and Algeria.

Usage
Recommended use of cedar oil
Cedar Atlas has a warm, sweet, woody scent. In a diffuser, this oil blends well with other sweet oils like jasmine, neroli, and ylang-ylang. Try 2 drops of orange, 2 drops of cedar, and 1 drop of patchouli in your diffuser! You can use this oil all day long, of course, but cedar is a wonderful oil for drifting off. It's therefore perfect for use after a long day, relaxing on the couch in the evening.

In the ultrasonic vaporizer: the nose determines the number of droplets, on average between 5 and 20 drops drip onto the water in the vaporizer.

In the Aroma Inhaler: Put 20 drops on the cotton swab.

On the fragrance stone: Use 5 to 10 drops for use of the stone on the toilet, wardrobe or on the bedside table.

Topical use: Cedar is primarily used on oily skin. Combined with a fatty plant oil, cedar supports the skin's regenerative capacity. For safe use, mix an essential oil with a fatty plant oil as a base. For a relaxing massage oil, use 10-15 drops of essential oil per 100 ml of carrier oil (for example, Aromassage Basic).

In the bath: Especially after a long day, cedar is wonderful in the bath for a moment of self-reflection. Never use essential oils pure in (bath)water because they float on the surface. If the oil floats on the surface, it comes into direct contact with your skin, which can cause skin irritation. Therefore, it's important to use the oil in bathwater with an emulsifier. For safe use of essential oils in the bath, use a maximum of 10 drops of essential oil in 10 ml of bubble bath, emulsifier, or hydrophilic oil for a full bath.

Safety
In aromatherapy, dosage is key, and "less is more." Stick to the dosages above and heed the following warning:
During pregnancy, cedar should only be used externally at a concentration of up to 2%. For babies and young children up to 3 years of age, use at a concentration of up to 0.5%.

Warnings
May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Avoid release to the environment. Collect spillage. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water.
Keep out of reach of children.
