Usage
Sesame seeds are used in small portions to decorate bread, pastries, and other baked goods. They can also be used in dishes to add flavor. Sesame paste, made from sesame seeds, is very popular in Arabic cuisine. Sesame seeds are usually raw and light brown. To toast the seeds, use a pan that you preheat (without oil). The seeds only need to be toasted briefly, no more than two minutes.
