Bepanthen Tattoo Ointment is a 'fatty' ointment that creates a protective layer on the skin. This is important for the aftercare of tattoos because it protects the skin from external influences. Creams contain more water and do not create such a layer. Therefore, we recommend a tattoo ointment instead of a tattoo cream in the initial phase of aftercare.

For the ongoing care of tattooed skin, after the aftercare phase, it is wonderful to use a cream. The advantage of a cream is that it is absorbed quickly. A cream can also be effectively used to hydrate skin that has become irritated by the tattooing process.
