The bitter orange tree originates from China. This tree, which can reach a height of up to 10 meters, boasts dark green leaves and fragrant white flowers (orange blossoms) and belongs to the Rutaceae family. Petitgrain is distilled from the young twigs with leaves and unripe fruit. The oil is light yellow to pale green and has a fresh, floral, citrus aroma.

Petitgrain has antispasmodic, sensual, cleansing, purifying, relaxing, calming, and refreshing properties. It deodorizes excessive sweating. Petitgrain can prevent or reduce depression. It's an ideal oil for those experiencing melancholy and a booster for sadness and disappointment. Mentally, this oil has a clarifying, stimulating, and restorative effect on fatigue and stress.
