Bergamot has, among other things, purifying and antiseptic properties. Traditionally, the oil was used as an antipyretic, but it is also very good for skin problems and for the respiratory and urinary tracts. It has a relaxing and invigorating effect.

Citrus bergamia aurantium
The Bergamot tree originally comes from the Canary Islands. This cross between bitter Orange and Lemon belongs to the Rutaceae family. It is a tree of 4 to 5 meters that is now mainly found in Southern Italy, Asia and Ivory Coast; the fruits resemble miniature oranges. Bergamot oil is extracted by cold pressing the outer parts of the peel of the unripe fruit. The color is green-orange but can change to chestnut-olive color as it ages and has a typical fruity, warm floral, fresh and lively scent.

Bergamot can also be used for: anxiety, throat, mouth, bladder, stomach, insomnia, bloating, lack of appetite, fatigue.

Use
Add a few drops to your base oil, massage oil or base cream. For evaporation, add 6-10 drops to 200 ml of water and place in a diffuser or aroma burner.
