Omega 3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids. Your body does not (or barely) produce these essential fatty acids itself. Therefore, it is important to obtain them from your diet and/or supplementation to ensure you get enough omega 3 fatty acids. The best-known omega 3 fatty acids are: DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).
DHA and EPA are mainly found in shellfish and fatty fish such as mackerel, salmon, herring, anchovies, sardines, and trout. The fish oil in APB Holland's omega 3 supplement is extracted from pure anchovies. Anchovies are cold-water fish and naturally have a short lifespan. APB Holland chooses anchovies because they are not an endangered species.
Since omega 3 is primarily found in specific foods, most people do not get enough omega 3 fatty acids. An omega 3 dietary supplement can offer a solution to obtain the correct amounts.
DHA and EPA:
contribute to the normal function of the heart (250 mg per day)
contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure (3000 mg per day)
contribute to the maintenance of normal blood triglyceride levels (2000 mg per day)
DHA:
contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function (250 mg per day)

maternal intake of DHA contributes to the normal brain and eye development of the fetus and breastfed infants
The health claims for EPA and DHA have been approved by EFSA.

Usage
Take 1 softgel twice a day with sufficient water during a meal.
