A basic multimineral without iron, copper, or iodine. Therefore, it is ideal for people who cannot take iron supplements (iron overload disease), copper supplements (copper overload – Wilson's disease), or iodine supplements (thyrotoxicosis). Furthermore, iron supplements are not recommended if the body has sufficient iron. High iron levels can have a pro-oxidative effect, and there are indications that this can lead to an increased risk of arteriosclerosis. Menopausal women and men should be cautious about taking iron supplements. Blood donors and menstruating women may benefit from a product containing iron (MultiMin Medium). This formula contains bamboo extract as a source of silicon. It contains no animal ingredients, making it suitable for vegetarians.
