Advancis Activon manuka honey gel

Activon Manuka honey gel contains 100% medicinal Manuka honey without additives from New Zealand. The Manuka honey is filtered and sterilised, making it suitable for use in wounds. Manuka honey will debride, remove slough, eliminate odour, and provide a moist wound environment.

Usage
Activon Honey Gel is ideal for debriding necrotic tissue, for direct use in cavities, or for refilling dressings where the honey has been drained by exudate (wound fluid). The honey can be removed with a normal saline solution Activon Tube can be applied to any wound but is particularly suitable for: Ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, graft sites, and infected wounds, cavities and sinuses.

Directions for use
Remove the cap, apply liberally to the wound bed to a minimum depth of 5mm and cover with a secondary dressing. Activon Tube is for single patient use; use within four days after opening. Use Activon Tube in combination with Algivon for debriding and removing slough. For highly exuding wounds, a super-absorbent dressing can be used to manage the exudate.

Storage advice
Store sealed at room temperature, out of reach of children. Due to the properties of honey, it may solidify when cold and become more liquid when warm. If the product has hardened, warm the tube between two hands just before use. If the honey gel is too liquid, place it in the refrigerator for a few minutes. Shelf life 90 days after opening.
