Actinica® Lotion is a sunscreen for people with an increased risk of developing certain forms of non-melanoma skin cancer due to UV radiation exposure.

In scientific research, Actinica® Lotion has proven effective in preventing actinic keratosis (AK)1, also known as “sun damage.”
Actinica® lotion is widely recommended by dermatologists for the prevention of AK and certain forms of non-melanoma skin cancer in at-risk patients, those with immunosuppression (organ transplant patients), and photodermatosis.

- Very high UV protection (50+) and protects against both UVA and UVB radiation
- Contains broad-spectrum photostable filters (6 filters) and is water-resistant
- Moisturizing properties improve skin condition
- Contains no perfume and is free of conventional PEG emulsifiers
- Well-tolerated and can therefore be used on very sensitive skin
- Absorbs quickly and leaves no white residue

Directions for use
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and wear protective clothing. Apply Actinica liberally and evenly every morning before the first sun exposure to uncovered skin areas. Actinica should be applied before cosmetic products (allow Actinica to absorb into the skin for a few minutes). Reapply Actinica after prolonged contact with water or heavy sweating. Skin surface varies; the following table provides the required dosage: - Face (including ears and nose) at least 2 pumps - Scalp at least 1 pump - Per forearm at least 2 pumps - Per back of the hand at least 1 pump The packaging includes dosage instructions for body parts frequently exposed to daylight throughout the year. For optimal distribution and a pleasant feeling on the skin, the dosage can be applied in two steps, for example, by waiting 5–10 minutes after the first dosage before applying the second. Ensure that no more than 10–15 minutes elapse between the first and second application. The indicated dosages for the face, scalp, etc., can serve as a reference for the required dosage on other parts of the skin. When using for the first time, the pump must be pressed several times to draw the lotion into the pump system. The first dose will not deliver a full dosage. Hold the pump as upright as possible and pump slowly to obtain a full dosage. At-risk patients with a weakened immune system should wear protective clothing and avoid direct sun contact. Warnings
The UV filters in Actinica Lotion can lead to discoloration of clothing, plastics, and other materials, such as the foil used for swimming pools. We therefore recommend not applying Actinica Lotion immediately before dressing.
