Hartmann Thermoval kids digital fever thermometer

The Thermoval® Kids digital fever thermometer has a particularly short measuring time of approximately 10 seconds and features a cheerful design, especially for children and available in 2 versions (blue and pink). The thermometer is equipped with a hard measuring tip, an extra-large LCD display, a start/stop button, and a removable battery cover. The display shows the measured temperature in °C, the battery status, there is an audible signal when ready for use and at the end of the measuring time, an automatic start/stop function, and a memory function with the last measured value. The thermometer has an automatic shut-off function, works with a replaceable long-life battery, and is waterproof. Therefore, the fever thermometer can be submerged in liquid or lukewarm water for thorough cleaning and disinfection. The Thermoval® Kids measures body temperature within the following times:
• Rectal measurement (anal): 10 to 15 sec
• Oral measurement (under the tongue): 10 to 30 sec
• Axillary measurement (in the armpit): 10 to 40 sec
(These measuring times are average values depending on the correct placement of the measuring tip and individual circumstances). Comes with a transparent and shock-resistant protective case. 3-year warranty.

Measuring body temperature

Instructions for use
Temperature measurement Anal (rectal) From a medical point of view, this is the most accurate measuring method, as it most closely approximates the body's core temperature. The tip of the thermometer is carefully inserted a maximum of 2 cm into the anus. Measuring the temperature this way normally takes about 10 to 15 seconds. In the armpit (axillary) In the armpit, a surface temperature is determined, which, unlike the rectally measured temperature in adults, can deviate by 0.5 to 1.5°C. Measuring the temperature this way normally takes about 10 - 40 seconds. However, it should be taken into account that, for example, with cooled armpits, an exact measurement result will not be achieved. For the most accurate measurement result that most closely approximates body temperature, we recommend extending the measuring time by 5 minutes. Under the tongue (oral) There are different heat zones in the oral cavity. The oral temperature is usually 0.3 to 0.8°C lower than the rectally measured temperature. For the most accurate measurement possible, place the tip of the thermometer under the tongue, to the left or right of the root of the tongue. The measuring tip must be continuously in contact with the tissue during the measurement and placed under the tongue, in the back of one of the two heat cavities. Keep your mouth closed during the measurement and breathe calmly through your nose. Do not consume meals or drinks immediately before the measurement. Measuring the temperature this way normally takes about 10 to 30 seconds.
